Names of all seated at the table [left to right] are Sarah^9 [Van Wicklen] Van Size, Lee [?], Florence^9 [Van Wicklen] McInnes, Liz, George, Gladys [Jarvis] Van Wicklen, and Anna^9 [Van Wicklen] Walters. Sarah, Florence, and Anna are George's sisters and Gladys is his sister-in-law, the wife of his brother, Bentley.]

Dec 1974, Sea Cliff, Nassau, NY) 4 Jun 1913. They had four children (based on George^9 obit. in Newsday, 13 April 1970). WWI Draft Registration Card (1917-1918) for George Henry indicates that he lived Grove St., Sea Cliff, NY in 1917 and was a horse shoer. He was b. 27 Mar 1892, Brookville, NY and was married with two children at that time. He married Christine Mahnken, 6 Mar 1936. He was S1 USNavy World War II. He was bur. at Brookville Cem. Assoc. in Glen Head, NY; Donald^10 B. Van Wicklen, b. 28 Feb 1918, NY and d. 19 Feb 2004. He married Ella Van Orden and they had a daughter, Betty J. Van Wicklen; Elizabeth^10 Ann Van Wicklen, b. 6 Dec 1030. She m. Andrew Norejko who died Nov 1977.

From Betty Kappstatter ltr to Harry Macy, Jr. dated 11 April 1995 (copy in my possession): George^10 Henry, Jr. (Betty Kappstatter's first cousin) was on the board of the Brookville Cemetery Association as was his father, George^9 Henry, Sr.

WWI Draft Registration Card (1917-1918) for George Henry indicates that he lived Grove St., Sea Cliff, NY in 1917 and was a horse shoer. He was b. 28 May 1892, Brookville, NY and was married with two children at that time. He was of medium height and build with blue eyes and light brown hair (not bald).

1930 US Census for Sea Cliff, Oyster Bay, NY lists George H. Van Wicklen, 37, b. NY (both parents b. NY), blacksmith, with wife, Elizabeth C., 39, b. NY (parents b. NY) with Mary E., dau, 15, b. NY, George H., Jr., son, 14, b. NY, and Donald B., son, 12, b. NY.
